The Real Estate Agent program is made up of 240 hours of class that lead to an Attestation of Collegiate Studies (ACS).

The program provides the basic training required to pass the Association des courtiers et agents immobiliers du Québec exam, which is a prerequisite to obtain an Affiliated Real Estate Agent certificate.

Besides the basic training, the Collège sets itself apart from other institutions that offer this program by adding an additional 60-hour hands-on training.

Basic Program

As specified in the Regulation respecting the application of the Real Estate Brokerage Act, the Real Estate Agent program is comprised of the following five courses:

Real Estate Law I (60 hours)
Real Estate Appraisal I (45 hours)
Real Estate Mathematics I (45 hours)
Real Estate Brokerage Act and the Regulation Thereunder (45 hours)
Drafting of Contracts and Documents Related to Real Estate (45 hours)

Where is the training given?

The Real Estate Agent program is given on the Collège de l'immobilier du Québec's main campus, on Nun's Island, at the Laval campus and at Collège de Rosemont.

Please note that the program can also be taken through distance learning (offered in French only) or by combining distance learning and on-campus learning.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the Real Estate Agent program, you must:

Hold a high school diploma or an equivalency acknowledged by the Ministère de l'Éducation (including maths).
In case you don't hold such diploma, you must have an education deemed sufficient by the Collège.

With your application for admission, you must also provide the following documents:

Your birth certificate with your father's and mother's name or proof of Canadian citizenship if you were born outside Canada.
The last diploma you obtained or proof of studies.
A document confirming your status in Canada, as warranted.
