The Real Estate Broker program is made up of 255 hours of class that lead to an Attestation of Collegiate Studies (ACS).

The program provides the basic training required to pass the Association des courtiers et agents immobiliers du Québec exam, which is a prerequisite to obtain a Chartered Real Estate Broker or Chartered Real Estate Agent certificate.

As specified in the Regulation respecting the application of the Real Estate Brokerage Act, the Real Estate Broker program is comprised of the following five courses:

Commercial Law (60 hours)
Accounting I (45 hours)
Real Estate Law II (45 hours)
Real Estate Management (60 hours)
Introduction to Revenue Properties (45 hours)

Where is the training given?

The Real Estate Broker program is given on the Collège de l'immobilier du Québec's main campus, on Nuns' Island.

You can also choose distance learning. The course Introduction to Revenue Properties can be taken remotely (in French only), as well as an accounting course, to which you must add a 6-hour hands-on session on the Collège premises.

The courses Real Estate Management, Real Estate Law II and Commercial Law are offered as virtual classes, via the Internet (in French only). Please note that you can also combine distance learning and on-campus learning.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible to the Real Estate Broker program, you must:

Hold an Affiliated Real Estate Agent certificate.
Provide your birth certificate or proof of Canadian citizenship.
Provide the last diploma you obtained or proof of studies.
