2. Virtual classes
The Collège de l’immobilier du Québec, the province’s leader and innovator in distance education in the field of real estate, has been offering virtual classroom training, also referred to as e-learning, since 2003.
IMPORTANT: Courses that are specific to the mortgage broker and commercial real estate broker programs are only available in virtual classes. For more info, contact your Student Services Advisor.
Several hundred students from all areas across Québec have taken advantage of the various distance education courses offered by the Collège, in a format that allows them to save time and transportation costs.
The success of the interactive virtual classroom programs stems from the fact that the Collège de l’immobilier has leveraged its expertise in distance education and has adapted it to this extraordinary virtual technology, which has so many advantages for the user.
Virtual classes combine the benefits of traditional teaching with those of correspondence courses. It’s like taking a course with the professor sitting in your living room. Thanks to virtual classes, the Collège is accessible to everyone, wherever they are in Québec.
Virtual classes allow students to communicate in real time with the professor and other students. During a course, the student’s computer screen displays the course content, which can consist of images and/or text.
Students also have access to additional materials in the form of notes written by the professor. Mini-tests are corrected online and are explained. Even working in small groups is made possible.
As a sign of the effectiveness of this formula, very few students registered in virtual classes drop out of the program, and the success rate is excellent, as high as that of in-class students!
Virtual classes are used in our Residential and Commercial Real Estate Broker credited programs, as well as in the Mortgage Broker program.
