The real estate profession draws many university graduates, especially from real estate related fields such as engineering, architecture and law.

Among the students at the Collège de l’immobilier du Québec:

  • 38% are university graduates;
  • 21% are college graduates;
  • 29% are high school graduates.
In 2008:
  • 35% were between 35 and 44 years old;
  • 25% were 25 to 35 years old;
  • 21% were 45 to 54 years old;
  • The others? They were younger than 25 or older than 55 years old!

WHY CHOOSE A CAREER IN REAL ESTATE?

  • Almost half of our students indicated a strong interest in this field;
  • The other half were looking for more independence;
  • Or increased income.


Three quarters (76%) were referred to the Collège by people related to the Real Estate Industry.
They chose the Collège mainly because of its reputation (35%) and the quality of its courses (15%).
